Introduction to GNOME Color Manager

GNOME Color Manager is a session framework for the GNOME desktop environment that makes it easy to manage, install and generate color profiles.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-7.10 platform.

Installation of GNOME Color Manager

Install GNOME Color Manager by running the following commands: 

./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-packagekit &&
make

This package does not come with a test suite. 

make install

Command Explanations

--disable-packagekit: This switch disables the use of PackageKit which isn't suitable for BLFS.

Short Descriptions

gcm-calibrate

is the GCM calibrator tool.

gcm-import

allows you to import ICC profiles supplied by vendors.

gcm-inspect

allows you to inspect your session color-management settings.

gcm-picker

allows you to pick spot colors for use by an attached colorimeter.

gcm-viewer

allows you to view properties of ICC profiles.
